Day 1 : Srinagar to Pahalgam (88 km) (2/3 hours)

The vehicle will be arranged from Srinagar and the 100 kms journey to Pahalgam can be covered in 2 to 3 hours.
Pahalgam is located on the banks of Lidder River and it is a well- known tourist town in Jammu and Kashmir. Reach there and enjoy your night stay.

Day 2 : Pahalgam to Baisaran (5 km) (3/4 hours)

Today, acclimatize and explore the beautiful valley. To reach Baisaran, pass through the forests. On the way witness Bakkarwals it is a shepherd community found there.

After crossing forest come across your campsite. Setup your camps and settle for the day.

Day 3 : Baisaran to Tulian Marag (11 km) (6/7 hours)

Today head towards Tulian Lake base camp. Ascend through the dense alpine forests and bear territory. The trail is an interesting one and offers exciting surprises at every step.

Cross 3 kms long steep part and reach Tulian Marag, it is famous for the Himalayan Marmots and Bakkarwals. This is a perfect campsite, setup your camps here and retire for the night.

Day 4 : Tulian Marag to Tulian Lake and back (10 km) (6/7 hours)

Leave Tulian Marg campsite and head to Tulian Lake, the distance is 5 kms which can be covered in 3 hours. Cross boulder wall and loose rocks to reach the valley top which offers first sight of the lake.

Reach the top and get clear view of this uniquely shaped glacial lake, greenish blue in colour. Go to the other side of the lake, as there is no space for pitching tents nearby descending to Tulian Marag is the option we have.

Day 5 : Tulian Marag to Kanimool (8 km) (4/5 hours)

Descend through the alpine forest highly rich in vegetation. Shrubs, bushes, herbs and trees grow there. Keep walking until you reach Kanimool.

It is a wide meadow frequently used by Bakkarwals. Pitch your tents here and retire for the night.

Day 6 : Kanimool to Pahalgam (8 km) (4/5 hours) and Drive to Srinagar (2/3 hours)

Post breakfast, leave Kanimool and get down to Pahalgam, the descent is easy and relaxing one through dense forest and meadows to Pahalgam.

Note: –  Many trekkers commit the same mistake of carrying unnecessary items on a trek which only makes the backpack heavy. It is important to know the right items to carry.
It differs from season to season if you are trekking in summers then carry less layers of warm clothing and if you are trekking in winters carry enough layers to protect yourself against chilly cold.

Necessary Items for trekkers

A strongly built backpack with good support is compulsory for a trek. (Rain cover is important)

Sturdy Trekking Shoes
The shoes should be strong enough with good support. The people ask if sports shoes would be comfortable but it is good to bring the right trekking shoes.

The Clothes You Should Bring On a Trek
Avoid keeping extra clothes because it only makes you backpack heavy.

Trek Pants – The jeans are never suitable for a trek so you need at least 2-3 trek pants for treks carry more for longer treks.

Jacket – Jackets are very important to carry on a trek it protects you against the chilly weather. So carry 2 jackets on a week long trek.

Layers of warm Clothing 
Carry warm woolen layers or fleece. Carry more layers during winter season (at least 2 to 3) and less during summer.

Thermals – The Temperature decreases at night so you might be need thermals for Night.

T- Shirts – Bring those t shirts which dry fast.

Poncho –They are needed if you are trekking on a Rainy day to keep you dry.
