The name “Gulabi Kantha” perfectly reflects the natural beauty of this stunning Himalayan trail. The word “Gulabi” means pink, and “Kantha” refers to a ridge, slope, or meadow in the local Garhwali language. When these flowers are in full bloom, the mountains appear as if they are wrapped in a pink blanket, creating a mesmerizing and dreamlike landscape.

This breathtaking view, where nature paints the valleys and meadows in shades of pink, is the main reason it’s called the “Gulabi Kantha Trek.” The name not only symbolizes the vibrant colors of the Buransh flowers but also represents the peaceful and refreshing energy of the Himalayas, making it one of the most picturesque and soulful treks in Uttarakhand.
