Nachiketa Tal

Nachiketa Lake was named after son of Uddalak

Beside this lake is a temple of Nag Devta and every year during the festival of Nagpanchami villagers visit this divine place. It holds a mythical story that this Lake was named after son of Uddalak. Nachiketa found the reality behind life and death at the age of 10.

Panoramic views and Trail

The clear views of Bandarpoonch is treat for the eyes and the place offers great sight of high Himalayan peaks. The trekking distance is not much but the trail is through beautiful dense forests with some streams crossing the way.

We serve three meals a day including snacks and soup. A variety of delectable and healthy food is provided which includes; Indian, Chinese and other Western meals. They are nutritious and keeps you fit and healthy on your trek.

  1. Day 1 Dehradun to Uttarkashi (200 km) (5 hours)

    Meet the member at Dehradun Railway station at 6:30 in the morning and then the drive is towards Uttarkashi.

    Go through the picturesque route of Mussoorie, reach there and
    arrangements will be made in a hotel. Visit the Shakti and Vishwanath temple in your free time and retire for the night.

  2. Day 2 Drive from Uttarkashi to Chaurangikhal (22 km) (45 minutes) and trek to Nachiketa Tal (3 km) and return

    Post breakfast the drive is from Uttarkashi to Chaurangikhal, the trek
    starts from this point to Nachiketa Tal. It is an astounding Lake lying
    in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand, to reach there go through the
    dense forests.

    You will have leisure time, explore the area and get back to
    Chaurangikhal from there get vehicle will be arranged to Uttarkashi.
    Arrangements will be made in a hotel.

  3. Day 3 Uttarkashi to Dehradun (200 km) (5 hours)

    After your breakfast in hotel leave for Dehradun and reach there on
    time.

  • Original and photocopy of government photo identity card- (Aadhar Card, driving license, voters ID, etc.)
  • Medical Certificate (first part to be filled by a doctor and second part by the trekker)

  • Strongly built hiking shoes, if you do not own a pair you can rent it from Sankri.
  • Sandals or slippers to wear in campsite

– Use medicines only when prescribed by the doctor in case you face any problem in your trek, take advice from Professional guide before taking any medicine.

– Drinking water is necessary during your trek, keep 1 litre of water bottle filled and drink it on proper interval of time, it is very important while hiking.

Cancellation Policy?It is wise to make your booking at least two months in advance. In the event of cancellation of trek/adventure activity services due to any avoidable / unavoidable reasons we must be notified of the same in writing. Cancellation charges will be effective from the date we receive advice in writing, and cancellation charges would be as follows
- Cancellation up to 30 Days: You will get Refund of 90 Precent of Trek/adventure program cost.
- Cancellation between 21 to 30 days– You will get refund of 50 Precent of Trek/Adventure/Tour/Travel/Hotel program cost.
- Cancellation in less than 20 days – No refund
