The high mountain chain and the wonderful evergreen valleys lie here and that is the main reason behind the growth of a maximum number of natural vegetation in this high altitude region.

In winter Phulara Ridge is mostly covered with snow and little fog and that makes it much more interesting for visiting the next view after every step that takes you along with it to the forward.

The way of this forest begins from mid of the dense forest and ends to the bugyal which is surrounded by the beautiful mountain peaks and that’s why it is said that ‘if the way is most difficult so, the destination is also more beautiful’ this line always suit to “Phulara Ridge Trek ”.

Phulara Ridge

History of Base camp Sankri in Phulara Ridge Trek

In 1970 only foreigners used to visit here and the number exceeded 20 people per day.

At that Har ki Dun trek was the most famous one and it was highly visited by the people.

The number of Bengali trekkers was also high, they did many high altitude passes and visited Sankri frequently.

The Moon from Sankri base camp seems so close that touching it feels possible.

And, the sunrise from Sankri is extremely beautiful because the golden rays of the sun eagerly welcome and wake you up.

The sunset is beautiful too but a short while of darkness will surely make you smile afterward when the moon shines.

The lives in the mountains are different, here are risks and happiness too!

The trekkers told me if the office, airport everything was here, they would never leave the mountains.

My only answer was – if every facility was here then the mesmerizing beauty of the mountains would have lost somewhere!

The untouched beauty is the thing that provides peace and a spark to know about the mountains.

We are really lucky and happy to be “Pahadis”.

  1. Nupur Dobhal

Himalayan hikers made sure that we have a memorable, safe trek trip to phulara ridge. We were a small group of 4 and they made sure that at all times we get the best of food, service and safety. They ensured to have a very well versed guide Devendra Rawat who had very good information about the flora and fauna of the region as well as well trained in all mountain related first aid. Overall it was a beautiful experience and I am glad to have picked Himalayan hikers for this trek. They are a sankri based local agency that organizes treks and what better then making sure that the people of sankri get the most from the mountains around.

Phulara Ridge, a wonderful trek with good cheerful guides.
    Very well organized.
Food was good, so was the stay in the tents .
I can say that we were pampered.
Thank you Himalayan Hikers for the amazing experience.

  4. Sunita Ravi

We did phulara ridge with Himalayan hikers in April 2019. This is our 4th trek with them and we have always been supported by their excellent team, the Rawat brothers. For a 4days trek the views of the mountains were mesmerising., the meadows were filled with rhododendrons, buttercups and irises.,
The camp sites were so pretty and the food served by them is always great. The ridge walk itself was like walking in the skies with the lofty mountains seeming like arms distance. The highlight was lunch and a nap in the lap of these magnificent views. Himalayan hikers are almost like family and their guides are amazing( special mention Mr Gangaram).
I highly recommend them to anyone who wants to trek in the HIMALAYAS and looking forward for many more incredible journeys with them.

  5. manoj

Phulara ridge trek (4th trek with them) Fantastic trip, extremely supportive folks, always so cheerful, even with 10inches of snow around; bringing hot pasta to your tent at 4pm and shaking the snow off your tent at 3am! They are totally reliable and safe, and help you feel totally confident in yourself and your own ability! Thank you team Himalayan Hikers. Shukriya
