Vasuki Tal is a holy glacial lake that is perched in the remote region of Indian Himalayas at an altitude of 4,978 m.
It is formed by the melting waters of Mt. Vasuki and lies 5 km ahead from a famous Hindu pilgrimage site and abode of Lord Shiva “Kedarnath”.
The waters of this pristine lake are clear and the lake got its name “Vasuki Tal” because it resembles snake Vasuki curled around the neck of Lord Shiva.
It lies amidst glaciers and the trekking route is steep. Therefore, it is a great trek for adventure lovers.

According to the legend, Lord Vishnu took bath in it at the time of Rakshabandhan (Hindu festival) which purified this lake.
In addition to its divine beauty, get rewarded by extremely beautiful views of Chaukhamba Peaks and other majestic Himalayan ranges.
