Valley of flowers is at an altitude of 3352 to 3658 m above sea level. It was declared a National Park and was included in the list of World Heritage sites by UNESCO. It is known for endemic alpine flowers and the variety of Flora located in Western Himalayas, Himalayan Monal and some endangered species are found here.
You will come across the Hemkund Lake, this is a holy lake Himganga flows out of it, and most of the people from different countries visit this place. Govind Singh the 10th Guru of the Sikh faith meditated on bank of this lake during the ancient times.

Valley of flowers is a colorful heaven; this place has its own unique beauty and it’s a richly diverse area, vibrant and splendid and you can see thousands of flowers blooming together. Valley of Flowers remains covered with a thick blanket of snow during the winter season. It is in full bloom during July, August and September. This is the best time to explore the splendor of this magnificent place.
The aqua waters of Pushpawati River bifurcates the valley into two parts. Dew drops of flowers, the rhythmic sound of flowing water and the romantic breeze can be enjoyed by the visitors during the period of July to September. As per the local beliefs, this valley was inhabited by fairies. No wonder, it’s a fairy land. This aesthetic valley has the beauty in abundance and is one of the desired trekking destination.

Day 3– Ghangria to Valley of flowers (10/12 km) (3700 m) and back to hotel
Day 4– Ghangria to Hemkund Sahib Ji (06 km) (4/5 hours) (4400 m) back to Hotel in Gangariya
Day 5– Ghangria to Govindghat (13 km) on same day to Joshimath (18 Km)

We serve three meals a day including snacks and soup. A variety of delectable and healthy food is provided which includes; Indian, Chinese and other Western meals. They are nutritious and keeps you fit and healthy on your trek.
Dehradun/Rishieksh/Haridwar to Joshimath (300 Km) (8/9 hours’ drive) (1800 m)
Vehicles will be arranged from Dehardun/Rishikesh/Haridwar Railway Station. The drive is spectacular travel along Ganga, Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers.
Visit Devprayag, this historical town is situated on the confluence of river Alaknanda & Bhagirathi River which makes the holy Ganges you will see the rivers flowing deep below.
Reach Joshimath and the arrangements will be made in a hotel there.
Joshimath to Govindghat (18 km) on same day to Ghangria (13 km) (6/7 hours) (3078 m)
The trail is in a very good condition because of the volunteers who sweep it every day, the cleanliness is maintained despite of hundreds of people walking on it. It is usually full of Sikh pilgrims walking up and down. Notice the cleanliness on the trail despite of hundreds treading upon it every day. It’s a beautiful sight.
The trek is 9 km long and you have to walk along riverside from Poolna to Ghangaria. The trail is alternately sunny and shaded. In middle of the trek you have to cross a river and go to other bank of it after that you will not have to walk along riverside,
After 5-6 hours you will see a tabular land, if you see it, it means you are about to reach Ghangaria. Ghangria there is a helipad and some space for camping. Half a kilometer from helipad is a village of Ghangaria where you can find many hotels in a line, restaurants and a Gurudwara. In gurudwara there is free accommodation and food for everyone.
Ghangria to Valley of flowers (10/12 km) and back to hotel
This day you will witness one of the most alluring places of the world. Its impeccably beautiful and pleasing environment will surely entice you. There is gate to buy entry tickets to the valley,walk in and notice the picturesque; beautiful flowers blooming all around.
There is a small foot way along the stream flows all the way through the valley. Valley of flowers look like an aesthetic picture of different colors with blue sky and tall standing peaks. The stream which flows along the valley makes it more beautiful and it seems to be the heaven on earth. There are less people around it which makes this trek a comfortable one, you can explore with ease.
The valley is picture perfect. One can find different things all together. The valley is 5-6 Km long and at the end a glacier will be visible from a distance. Walk further into the valley and you will be engulfed with an amazing scent. Spend some time there loving the aura of that place, you will be delighted by the bright colors of flowers and picturesque sky and stream. Camping is not allowed there and no food is available so we will eat lunch which have packed earlier and return back to Hotel.
Ghangria to Hemkund Sahib Ji (06 km) (4/5 hours) (4400 m) and back to hotel in Gangariya
Start your day early because weather can change anytime, sudden rain can get you stranded if you do not get down on time. Starting your day early will be a good decision because at Gurudwara their day starts at 4:00 am and you can hear people chanting chorus and see people going up to Hemkund Sahib.
The trail to Hemkund Sahib is a steep one, climb it slowly and have a glance of waterfall coming out through rock walls. With climbing higher the views get better and better as the path is steep you can take breaks after some breaks and 2 hours of trek you finally reach Hemkund Sahib Gurudwara.
Behind Hemkund Sahib Gurudwara there is holy lake which remains frozen for 6 months, The lake water is crystal clear and undisturbed, spend some time there and you can find tranquility, there is serenity in the environment. Leave Hemkund Sahib as getting back to the Hotel in Gangariya takes time.
Ghangria to Govindghat (13 km) then Drive to Joshhimath (28 Km)
Start your trek after having breakfast reach Govindghat and from there drive is towards Joshimath. Arrangements will be made in a hotel.
Joshimath to Rishikesh/Haridwar (300 km) (8/9 hours)
You can have your lunch on the way Devpariya/Shrinagar then drive down to Rishikesh/Haridwar.

Trekkers must bring :
- Strongly built hiking shoes, if you do not own a pair you can rent it from Sankri.
- Sandals or slippers to wear in campsite

ATM Point & Mobile connectivity:-
Withdraw money before your journey, Joshimath is the last point where you will find ATM.
There will be no networks during the trek and only BSNL networks are available at Govindghat. Finish all your important calls and work before starting of the trek.
