Meals We Serve
We serve three meals a day including snacks and soup. A variety of delectable and healthy food is provided which includes; Indian, Chinese and other Western meals. They are nutritious and keeps you fit and healthy on your trek.
Dehradun Railway to Barsu (220 km) (7/8 hours)
We leave early in the morning to Barsu because it is a long day journey. We pass through the towns of Dehradun railway Station and from beautiful places like Mussoorie and Uttarkashi.
Barsu is a small village of about 32 km. from Uttarkashi and is on the way to Gangotri. The drive to Barsu from Uttarkashi is along Bhagirathi River the river will be visible in most part of the journey.
At this village come across the life of villagers and their traditional values, you can see them working in fields and children playing or helping others. Barsu is the base camp for Dayara Bugyal trek, and then overnight stay at Barsu in a guest house.
Barsu to Barnala Tal (4 km) (3/4 hours) (2800 m)
This is a 4 km long trek, Barnala Tal is between a grassland which is all covered by tall standing peaks, this Tal looks unique as it is between the grassland and next to it lies Kala Nath’s temple, you can see devotes visiting the temple so you can feel the spirituality here.
The trail is a gradually ascending one, it goes through a forest of green and brown oaks, and the path is steep as altitude is gained while going higher unlike other places, you do not find pines here. The trail continues through the forest. Reach the destination of the day which is Barnala at an elevation of 8,530 ft.
When you reach Barnala Tal you can see some wooden huts around the lake, you can visit Kala Nath’s temple if you want. Setup your campsite and relax here for a night. Have your dinner and overnight stay here.
Barnala Tal to Dayara Bugyal (4 km) (3/4 hours) (3400 m)
After breakfast at the camp start your trek to Dayara. 3/4 km. of steep climb and then you have to pass by beautiful alpine meadows locally known as “Bugyal”. The trail is covered by beautiful flowers, blooming all around, it will take you through a forest.
It is an ascending trek of about 4 kms to the high alpine vast meadow of Dayara Bugyal which is windy, Uttarakhand that is elevated at 9,980 ft. through the Barnal grasslands. On arriving this vast meadow that resembles a table top, you can catch sight of some majestic peaks namely Srikanth, Rudregaira, Gangotri I, II & III, Jaonli, Draupadi ka Danda I & II, Black peak, Bandar pooch and such. Spend the night in the camp set up here.
Hot lunch at the camp of Dayara and after lunch visit the beautiful alpine plateau famous for ski adventure sports, and from Pass you can see that you are surrounded by Himalayan ranges and the both side view of beautiful Himalayan range of Gangotri and Yamunotri Himalayan range are visible and also Kala Nag and Draupadi ka Danda I and II. Dinner & then overnight stay will be in camps.
Dayara Bugyal to Bakaria Top (12000 feet) (3km) (3/4 hours) and back to Dayara Bugyal
This is our main summit day. Bakaria Top is the highest point of Dayara Bugyal, the trail is steep you may get tired but it’s worth. Dayara Bugyal is divided into many small bugyals and Bakaria top is one of them. We start trek along the meadows and gain altitude gradually till we reach Bakaria Top. The views from the top are breathtaking, snow-capped mountains and many more tall standing peaks are visible from there. You can get majestic views of Bandarpuch range and Kala Nag range. Bandarpunch is clearly visible from a touching distance.
The trail takes you through thick dense forest of Deodar, oaks and we pass through the beautiful landscape of Rhododendrons. You have to cross ridges to reach Bakria top which are steep and you may get tired but every effort you make is worth because the views which the place offers are enchanting.
A small meadow is on top of the first ridge. The fields give way to trees within ten minutes of the climb. It is a moderate climb with some stiff edges in between. You can see Dayara Bugyal from the top which looks extremely beautiful.
Spend some time there, relish the beauty of enthralling views, and stare at God’s beguiling creation, after that plan your descend to the campsite, dinner and overnight stay will be there.
Dayara Bugyal to Barsu camp (7500 feet) (8 Km) (6/7 hours)
It is a long trek so after having breakfast start your trek early in the morning and begin descent to Pichkiya. The trail takes around 6 to 7 hours with a few ascends in between. We walk through the vast stretches of the alpine meadows and the sub alpine forests and small spiralling rivulets. Pichkiya campsite is a small grassland situated in between the alpine forests, the forest is thick and the dense rarely allow sunlight to pass through them.
The inner dry valleys, dwarf rhododendrons grow along with patches of grasslands near the campsite. This last day of Dayara Bugyal trekking, it involves descending down to Barsu along a well-marked trail through the surrounding thickets.
On upper reaches of Barsu you can see wheat and poppy cultivation and catch sight of the charming village of Barsu and its adjoining settlements can about half way down the trail.
Arrive at Barsu by afternoon and camp here for the night.
Barsu to Dehradun (178 km) (7/8 hours)
Leave Barsu early to reach Dehradun on time.

ATM POINT: Withdraw money before your journey, Uttarkashi is the last point where you will find ATM.
There are no networks during the trek, in Bhatwari the networks are available but only on the main road before Raithal. Make sure you finish all your important work and calls before starting of the trek

– Drinking water is necessary during your trek, keep 1 litre of water bottle filled and drink it on proper interval of time, it is very important while hiking.
- If the trek is cancelled by us due to any reason (heavy snowfall, rainfall, natural disaster etc.) then the refund would not be initiated but you can go on the same trek another year.
