Auli is an amazing hill station located in the Garhwal Himalayas of Chamoli district in Uttarakhand at an altitude of 2,500 m to 3050 m. It is also a famous Skiing destination in India because of its sparkling slopes and meadows with diverse vegetation and tranquil environment, due to which it has gained popularity across the globe. Every winter season Department of Uttarakhand Tourism organizes a sports competition in Auli to encourage “Skiing”.

The nearest railway station from Auli is Haridwar which is connected with many major cities and lies is at a distance of 280 km. The other nearest rail head is in Dehradun which is also connected to major cities of India.
BY ROAD
It is easily accessible through road from Joshimath. It is the nearest city at a small distance of 15 km. Taxi, bus and cab service are easily available from Joshimath.
I’ve been to many places in India, but Uttarakhand is by far my favorite. The people are so friendly, the food is amazing, and the scenery is breathtaking. I would definitely recommend visiting Uttarakhand if you’re looking for a truly authentic Indian experience.
